Philippe Mora

Biography

Philippe Mora is a French-born Australian artist and film director, born in Paris in 1949 to a Lithuanian-Jewish mother and a German-Jewish father. Raised by his parents, a restaurateur and gallery owner who survived World War II as a French Resistance fighter, Mora began making films with an 8mm camera at a young age. He later won art prizes as a teenager and has since established himself as a film writer, director, actor, and artist.
