Biography

Gheorghe Cozorici was a Romanian film and theatre actor known for his powerful performances in iconic roles such as Stephen the Great and Cosma. A graduate of the I. L. Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts, he made his stage debut with Hamlet in 1957 and went on to establish himself at the National Theatre Bucharest. Cozorici was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit in 1971 for his contributions to Romanian theatre and cinema.
