Carolyn Liu is a New York native born into a wealthy Hong Kong-based shipping dynasty. She attended the prestigious all-girl Spence School before studying at New York Law School, ultimately abandoning her legal career to pursue show business in Los Angeles around 1990. Liu made her mark in the film industry with notable appearances, including her role as Silk in the 1991 B-movie "Do or Die".
