John Sweeney
Biography
John Paul Sweeney is a British investigative journalist and writer born on June 7, 1958. He worked for The Observer newspaper and the BBC's Panorama and Newsnight series before ceasing his work with the BBC in October 2019. In 1996, he was involved in a high-profile defamation case with the Barclay brothers over an interview he gave, which resulted in him being ordered to pay €3,000.
