Joy Fielding is a Canadian novelist and actress born on March 18, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 1966 and began her acting career, appearing in films such as "Winter Kept Us Warm" (1965) and a television episode of "Gunsmoke". Fielding has since published 30 novels and one novella, transitioning to writing full-time after a brief acting stint.
