Biography

Aleksei Petrenko was a Ukrainian-born Russian actor celebrated for his diverse film and stage work. He played iconic roles in Elem Klimov's "Rasputin" as the titular character and Nikita Mikhalkov's "The Barber of Siberia" as General Radlov. Petrenko also appeared in notable documentaries, including BBC II's "World War II: Behind Closed Doors," where he portrayed Joseph Stalin.
