Biography

Elwyn Brook-Jones was a British theatre, film, and television actor born on December 11, 1911. He began his career as a concert pianist in Australia at age 11, before making his stage debut in London in 1943 and appearing in various productions throughout the West End, films, and television. Notable roles include Tober in Carol Reed's Odd Man Out (1947) and Gladwin in Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's The Small Back Room (1949).
