Takumi Saitoh was born on August 22, 1981, in Tokyo, Japan. He began his career as a model before making his acting debut in the 1992 Japanese drama Ippai no kakesoba. His breakthrough roles included playing Yūshi Oshitari in the musical adaptation of The Prince of Tennis and Noel Kisaragi in the direct-to-video film BOYS LOVE, both released in 2006.
