Ralph H. Baer

Biography

Ralph H. Baer was a German-born American inventor and engineer born on March 8, 1922. He conceived the idea of playing games on a television screen around 1966 while working at Sanders Associates in New Hampshire. His innovative design led to the creation of the Magnavox Odyssey, one of the first home video game consoles, earning him the title "the Father of Video Games."
