Biography

Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was the younger daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Born in 1930, she became second in line to the British throne after her father's accession in 1936, but later declined due to her sister's children and grandchildren being born. She marries photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones in 1960, marking a significant turn in her life following her sister's ascension to the throne in 1952.
