Cameron Crowe is a renowned American filmmaker and journalist, born July 13, 1957. He began his career as a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine in 1973, before transitioning to screenwriting with his debut effort Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). Known for character-driven films that captured the spirit of post-baby boom generations, Crowe's work includes Academy Award-winning Almost Famous (2000) and critically acclaimed Jerry Maguire (1996).
