Biography

Jenée LaMarque is a Mexican American writer and director known for her distinctive voice in film. Her breakthrough feature, The Pretty One (2013), premiered at the Savannah Film Festival, where it won Best Narrative Feature and earned her Best Director award. LaMarque's script, also on The Black List in 2011, drew top talent like Zoe Kazan and Jake Johnson to her project. Her second feature, The Feels (2018), showcases her continued skill as a writer and director.
