Biography

Louisa Johanna Theodora van Dort, known as Wieteke, was a Dutch actress, comedian, singer, writer, and artist of Indo descent. Born in Surabaya in 1943, she gained fame for her role as Tante Lien in "The Late Late Lien Show," a children's television program that showcased Indo culture in the Netherlands. Her show ran from 1985 to 1988, but her character remains popular today. She was appointed Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau by Queen Beatrix in 1999.
