Tom Carroll

Biography

Thomas Victor Carroll, born November 26, 1961, in Newport, New South Wales, Australia, is a renowned Australian former professional surfer from Sydney. He won the ASP World Tour titles in 1983 and 1984, and again in 1990 and 1991. As the first surfing millionaire, he signed a contract with Quiksilver in 1989, becoming a pioneer in the sport's professionalization. Carroll retired from competitive surfing in 1993.
