Biography

Bijon Bhattacharya was a renowned Indian actor and playwright from West Bengal, born in 1906 at Faridpur. He gained recognition for his work in Bengali theatre and films, including the notable roles of Taran Master in "The Cloud-Capped Star" (1960) and his own plays like "Nabanna" (1944) and "Debi Garjan" (1966). Bhattacharya was also a member of the Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA).
