James Devoti was born and raised on Long Island, NY, where he grew up with his older brother John, who served in the US Marine Corps in Afghanistan and Iraq. After graduating from Loyola University with a BA in Communications/Advertising, Devoti traveled to West Africa to volunteer before embarking on an acting career. He gained notable recurring roles in American Soul and The Young and the Restless, and has appeared in several films, including "Burn" (2019) and "Lake Dead" (2007).
