Xie Yuan was a Chinese actor and teacher born on June 17, 1959, in Beijing. He graduated from Beijing Film Academy and became a professor after graduation, teaching at the school and working as an actor in the 1980s and 1990s. Notable roles include Lao Gar in "King of the Children" (1988) and Ar Xia in the TV drama "Shanghai Family" (1991). He passed away on August 18, 2020, at age 61 due to a heart attack while filming.
