Kemp Niver

Biography

Kemp Niver was a US film technician, cameraman, and author born on October 17, 1911, in Los Angeles, California. He received an honorary Oscar in 1955 for developing a restoration method to preserve the Paper Print Collection of the Library of Congress. Prior to his work in film, Niver served as a Marine pilot, detective, and photographer during World War II.
