Biography

Mohamed Camara is a Guinean film director and actor born in 1959 in Conakry, who has explored controversial topics in his films like incest, child suicide, and homosexuality. His breakthrough came with the 1997 film "Dakan", which was called the first film on homosexuality by a Black African, earning him international recognition and awards. Camara also gained popularity as Ousmane in the educational series French in Action, further solidifying his presence in North American media.
