Marie-Agnès Gillot

Biography

Marie-Agnès Gillot is a French ballet dancer and choreographer born in Caen to an accountant and physical therapist. She began training at the Paris Opera Ballet School in 1985 and became the youngest-ever corps de ballet member at age 15. After initially facing challenges, she was promoted to sujet in 1999 and went on to become POB's first in-house female dancer to choreograph for the company.
