Gunārs Cilinskis was a Latvian actor and filmmaker born in Riga on May 23, 1931. He gained recognition for his roles in films such as "Sunflower" (1970) and served as the husband of actress Velta Line, who was also a People's Artist of the Soviet Union. Cilinskis himself was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1979.
