Irina Semenovna Rakshina was born on May 3, 1962, in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatky. Orphaned at four, she grew up in a children's home where she developed her love for the arts through theatricalized dance. She studied at the Moscow State Academy of Theatre Arts (MGITMiK) and began her career at the Mikhail Leningrad Theater, where she still performs today.
