Mickey Gilley
Biography
Mickey Gilley, born March 9, 1936, in Natchez, Mississippi, was a country music singer and businessman. He rose to fame after years in the shadow of his cousin, Jerry Lee Lewis, and eventually established himself with the hit album "Down the Line" in 1967. Gilley's nightclub, Gilley's Club, in Pasadena, Texas, became famous after being featured in the 1980 film Urban Cowboy, boosting his national exposure.
