Biography

Kym Karath is an American former actress, best known for her breakout role as Gretl, the youngest of the Von Trapp children in The Sound of Music (1965). Her notable film appearances also include Maggie Boyer in The Thrill of It All (1963) and Good Neighbor Sam (1964). After a career hiatus, Karath resumed acting in 2005. She has spoken candidly about her experience filming the perilous boat scene in The Sound of Music.
