Biography
Kinnosuke Takamatsu was a Japanese actor born in Hakodate, Hokkaido on January 13, 1898. He gained notoriety for his role as the bearded inmate in Teinosuke Kinugasa's avant-garde film A Page of Madness (1926). Takamatsu later appeared in notable films such as The Story of the Last Chrysanthemums (1939) and Kenji Mizoguchi's Utamaro and His Five Women (1946), solidifying his career in Japanese cinema.
