Phylicia Rashad is an American actress born on June 19, 1948. She won two Tony Awards for her stage performances in A Raisin in the Sun and Skeleton Crew, with the latter being her second win. Rashad is also best known for her lead role as Clair Huxtable on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show, earning two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
