Biography

Born in Dublin on July 14, 1945, to Irish parents, Freda Kelly moved to Liverpool at 13 and found work as a typist by the early 1960s. A devoted fan of the Beatles, she attended nearly 200 of their shows, striking up friendships with band members at the Cavern Club. Kelly took over as secretary of the official Beatles fan club in 1962, serving the group until its dissolution and chronicled in the 2013 documentary "Good Ol' Freda".
