Bruce Vilanch is a six-time Emmy Award-winning comedy writer, songwriter, and actor born on November 23, 1948. He gained public recognition for his four-year stint as a celebrity participant on Hollywood Squares and later became the head writer for the Oscars from 2000 to 2014. As a versatile performer, he has also written for Tony Awards, Grammys, and Emmys, and has appeared in various stage productions and films.
