David Louis Leland was an Italian-born American child actor who appeared in several Hollywood films in the 1940s, including "The Hour Before the Dawn" (1944) alongside Laurel and Hardy's more recent collaboration, "Nothing But Trouble". Born in Alassio, Italy, he moved to the US with his family at a young age. Leland passed away at 16 due to sepsis. His father, Louis Leland, was born in Rome to an American father and Italian mother.
