Madge Brindley was a British actress born Doreen Ilse Johnson in 1901, known for her distinctive character roles, particularly loud and aggressive matronly women. She began her acting career in 1925 with the Birmingham Repertory Company and went on to appear in notable films such as Alice in Wonderland and The Ladykillers. Brindley's career spanned several decades, with notable roles in Hobson's Choice and A Kid for Two Farthings.
