Donatella Francesca Versace was born on May 2, 1955, in Reggio di Calabria, Italy. She is the youngest of four children and inherited a portion of the Versace brand after her brother Gianni's death in 1997, becoming its creative director and chief brand ambassador. Along with her brother, she played a significant role in popularizing supermodels on the runway during the 1990s.
