Biography

Lew Davis was a character actor who gained recognition for his appearances in Three Stooges shorts and memorable roles as con men and villains in films like Cash and Carry and Playing the Ponies. A New York native, Davis began his acting career in 1916 and went on to appear in over 75 films between 1916 and 1948. He passed away from a gastric hemorrhage in Inglewood, California in 1948.
