Abdurrazack "Zackie" Achmat is a South African activist and film director born on March 21, 1962, in Johannesburg. As a co-founder of the Treatment Action Campaign, he has been a leading voice in advocating for people living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa. His activism extends to his work as chairperson of Equal Education and co-director of Ndifuna Ukwazi, where he supports social justice organizations and leaders.
