Wally Vernon

Biography

Wally Vernon was a seasoned comic and character actor, born in New York City in 1905. He began his career in show business at age three, appearing in vaudeville and stock theater. Vernon's on-screen persona as a Brooklynese wiseguy and hero's assistant became a staple in Twentieth Century Fox features, and he later teamed up with comedians Eddie Quillan and Don "Red" Barry in various Republic Pictures and Columbia Pictures collaborations.
