Alfred Fagon

Biography

Alfred Fagon was a British playwright, poet and actor, born in Jamaica in 1937. He served in the British Army before working for British Rail and later joining the Royal Corps of Signals, becoming Middleweight Boxing Champion in 1962. Fagon's theatrical career included writing and producing plays at prominent UK venues such as the Royal Court Theatre and Hampstead Theatre, including his notable role as father in "R.H.I.N.O.; Really Here in Name Only" (1983).
