Biography

Wieland Speck is a German film director born in 1951 in Freiburg im Breisgau. He has been a key figure at the International Filmfestival Berlin (Berlinale) since 1992, coordinating the Panorama section. Speck is also a notable figure in the LGBT community, having co-created the Teddy Award for LGBT films and producing his own feature film, Westler, in 1985.
