Zhang Meng is a Chinese director, screenwriter, and producer born on April 12, 1975, in Tieling City, Liaoning Province. A graduate of the Central Academy of Drama, he made his directorial debut with Lucky Dog in 2007. His subsequent films have garnered awards at international film festivals, including the Grand Jury Prize at the Miami International Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival.
