Biography

Steven S. DeKnight is an American filmmaker and comic book writer, best known for creating the Starz series Spartacus, which includes its spin-offs and a first season of Marvel's Daredevil for Netflix. He previously worked on Smallville, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel, as well as writing for Dollhouse. DeKnight also joined the Transformers Cinematic Universe writers room in 2015 and directed Pacific Rim Uprising.
