Biography

Philip David Segal is a British-American television producer born in Southend-on-Sea, England in 1962. He emigrated to the US at 15 and earned a degree in Telecommunications from San Diego State University before starting his career as a casting assistant and literary agent. Segal went on to direct drama development at Columbia Pictures, worked on acclaimed shows like Twin Peaks and Thirtysomething, and later joined Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment as Vice President of Amblin Television.
