Valerie Singleton is a renowned English television and radio presenter born on April 9, 1937, in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. She rose to fame as the regular presenter of BBC Television's Blue Peter from 1962 to 1972, before going on to present the BBC Radio 4 PM programme for ten years. Singleton also hosted various financial and business programmes, including The Money Programme from 1980 to 1988.
