Kaye Ballard was a versatile American actress, comedian, and singer born Catherine Gloria Balotta on November 20, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Italian immigrant parents. She established herself as a musical comedian in the 1940s, joining Spike Jones' touring revue and later becoming a regular on The Perry Como Show from 1961-1963. A prolific performer, Ballard was also known for her roles in "Freaky Friday" and "Baby Geniuses".
