Biography

John Breen is a playwright from Limerick, Ireland, known for his play "Alone it Stands," which reenacts the legendary 1978 Munster Rugby victory over New Zealand's All Blacks in Thomond Park. He also wrote "Charlie," a play about former Irish Taoiseach Charles Haughey, which explores his rise and fall in a poignant, flashback-filled narrative. Breen co-founded Yew Tree Theatre Company in Ballina, Co. Mayo.
