Nancy McKeon was born on April 4, 1966, in Westbury, New York, to Barbara and Donald McKeon. She began modeling baby clothes for the Sears catalog at age two and appeared briefly on soap operas "The Secret Storm" (1954) and "Another World" (1964). Her breakthrough role came as Jo Polniaczek on NBC's sitcom "The Facts of Life," a part she played during the show's second season after being cast in 1980.
