Biography

Lorenzo Dechalus, known professionally as Lord Jamar, is an American rapper and actor. As a founding member of hip hop group Brand Nubian, he released the debut studio album "One for All" in 1990, widely regarded by The Source as one of the greatest hip hop albums ever made. A key figure in discovering Dead Prez, Lord Jamar has also ventured into acting and podcasting, with recent credits including himself in the 2024 film "Microphone Check".
