Biography

Leo Ernest Britt was a British-American actor who made over 40 film and television appearances between 1933 and 1975. Notable roles include his portrayal of the Storyteller in Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder (1954) and General Scarlett in the historical drama The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968). He later became a U.S. citizen but returned to England, where he passed away at age 71 in 1979.
