Biography

Berthold Konrad Hermann Albert Speer was a German architect who served as Minister of Armaments and War Production in Nazi Germany during most of World War II. He joined the Nazi Party in 1931 and became a close friend and ally of Adolf Hitler, earning a prominent position within the Party. Speer designed key structures, including the Reich Chancellery, and was convicted at the Nuremberg trials for his role in the war effort, serving 20 years in prison.
