Bob Woodruff

Biography

Robert Warren Woodruff, born August 18, 1961, is an American television journalist serving as a reporter for ABC News since 1996. He co-anchored ABC World News Tonight with Elizabeth Vargas in 2006 and later suffered severe injuries from an IED explosion in Iraq, recovering over time before returning to air. A graduate of Colgate University and the University of Michigan Law School, Woodruff has built a distinguished career in broadcast journalism.
