Biography

Dwele is a Detroit-born American R&B and soul singer-songwriter and producer known for his work with Slum Village, J Dilla, and Kanye West. His debut solo album Subject (2003) was released after self-releasing the demo tape Rize in 2000, which caught the ears of local heroes Slum Village and renowned producer J Dilla. He has also collaborated on high-profile tracks like "Flashing Lights" with Kanye West and "Power".
