David Collings

Biography

David Collings was born on June 4, 1940, in Brighton. He rose to fame for his breakout role as Raskolnikov in the 1964 live broadcast of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Crime & Punishment. Collings also gained a cult following for his appearances in science fiction series such as Doctor Who, Sapphire & Steel, and Blake's 7, as well as iconic voice roles like Legolas in the BBC Radio 4 adaptation of The Lord of the Rings.
