Lock Martin was a towering figure in Hollywood, known for his iconic roles on screen and stage. As a performer with gigantism, he stood over seven feet tall and brought to life the robot Gort in The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951). He also appeared as the Snow Creature in The Snow Creature (1954) and worked with Spike Jones, before passing away at 42 due to complications from his condition.
